Systematic IUPAC name: (3R,4R,5R)-1,3,4,5,6-Pentahydroxyhexan-2-one

Other names: D-Allulose; D-Psicose; D-Ribo-2-hexulose; Pseudofructose

Appearance: Fine crystalline odourless white powder.

Maximum tolerable consumption for a 60 kg adult approx 33 to 36 grams per day.

Sweetness: Approx 70% that of Sucrose.

The caloric value of allulose in humans is about 0.2 to 0.4 kcal/g.
